I had the farmers toast and dessert. WOW! Everything was more amazing than I could’ve expected. My husband had the Italian sandwich and loved it. Both kids devoured their grilled cheese on milk bread and tomato soup. We were just passing through town, but definitely will come back next time!

At 9:00 in the morning when you walk into a bakery you expect fresh baked goods. I purchased one of the six loaves of focaccia bread that was dayold at best not fresh at all. I also bought two Guinness beef pies for $8 a piece when I ate the first one I had to take the meat out of the second one and weigh it. There is 1.5 oz of meat in the pastry and that was the old as well they don't have fresh bread in the morning they sell wholesale bread to the whoever and then leftovers get put on the Shelf not only will I never visit there again you are a fool to even try it

I was extremely disappointed because I had high hopes for this place. They are extremely overpriced: a basic BLT was $19 and did not come with any sides or a drink. They charge extra for everything: extra condiments, toppings, etc. My sandwich was dull and not made with love. When you get a sandwich, it has to be made with love, because what's the point of buying something that you can make at home? The ambiance was nice, calm, and clean, but I would not come back here.

I went to Hawthorn Bistro for breakfast and tried a few things: the scone of the week (lemon poppyseed), the classic breakfast sandwich on brioche, and the beef hash. The lemon poppyseed scone was definitely the highlight — soft, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. The sandwich and hash were okay, but I asked for my eggs over easy and the yolk came out fully cooked, which was a letdown. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or coffee hangout. I’d love to come back and try their lunch menu, but as for breakfast, I’m not sure I’d give it another go. Still, it’s a lovely spot with great service and a lot of potential.

This place is an 11/10. I was visiting from Jersey and happened to eat here the first day of my trip and it ended up being so good I came back every day. The pastries are out of this world, I don’t think I have had a pastry to even compare. Specifically the sourdough pop tart, the salted caramel scone and the sweet potato cinnamon roll. This place has the best of both worlds because not only were the sweets impeccable but the savory as well. I got the grilled cheese, the Italian sandwich, the tomato toast, the quiche and the Cuban sandwich, all exceptional. Super friendly staff, I recommend it to everyone.
